Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is a wonderful, whimsical musical based upon the classic Dr. Seuss book. Back for another incredible year, the family favorite features the songs “Santa for a Day,” “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” and “Welcome, Christmas (Fah Who Doraze),” the delightful carol from the popular animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Celebrate the holidays as the Old Globe Theatre is once again transformed into the snow-covered Who-ville, right down to the last can of Who-hash.

The Museum's sensory-friendly quiet hours are held every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This time is dedicated to creating a calmer, quieter museum experience. We remain open to the public during this time, and all are welcome to visit the Museum.

During this time, specific exhibit features in the main Museum building will be turned off to minimize audio and visual stimulation. Noise-blocking headphones are free for check-out at the main Admissions desk and the entrance to the Cannibals: Myth & Reality exhibition.

Exhibit features in the Cannibals: Myth & Reality exhibit will remain on, and all exhibits will be fully turned on at 11 a.m. Admission purchased during sensory-friendly quiet hours is the same as standard admission and applies to the entire day.

For 30 years, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's unique take on American swing and jazz music has thrilled audiences around the world, while their unique and spirited "Wild and Swingin' Holiday Party" has become an annual family event. Drawing on a rich catalogue of holiday classics and originals from the band's two full length holiday albums, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy brings its fun and quirky take on the holidays to San Diego on November 30.

Hausmann Concerts at Maritime Museum of San Diego Offer a Unique Mix of Music on the Water.

The Hausmann Quartet and Maritime Museum of San Diego partner to present the ninth season of Haydn Voyages: Music at the Maritime, a quarterly concert series performed aboard one of the Museum’s historic world-class vessels, the 1898 steam ferryboat Berkeley that operated for 60 years on San Francisco Bay.  All concerts are Sundays at 2:30, and include an intermission for a total length of under two hours. Each creative program will also include informative and entertaining commentary between selections from noted UC Santa Barbara musicologist Derek Katz.
