Come and explore our connection with the sea at the Maritime Museum of San Diego! Spanning 500 years of seafaring history, your visit to the Museum will give you a chance to step aboard an historic collection of maritime heritage vessels. Each ship is a floating exhibit and nested below deck, dozens of fascinating exhibits and galleries too! Recognized worldwide for restoring, preserving, and maintaining these historic national and state historic landmarks, including the Star of India, the world's oldest active sailing ship, the 1898 Victorian - era steam ferryboat Berkeley, steam yacht Medea and the world's deepest diving submarine, the USS Dolphin.
