San Diego horse racing takes place where the "turf meets the surf" at the Del Mar Racetrack. Fans flock to the track each summer to wager on their favorite horses during the popular, annual Del Mar Racetrack racing season, mid-July - early-September. Be part of the magic and nostalgia of this long-time horse race tradition dating back to 1937 when Bing Crosby greeted the first guests, and Seabiscuit won by a nose in the infamous race in 1938. This season features the nation's top racehorses, trainers and jockeys, and plenty of fun in the sun.

The Maritime Museum of San Diego hosts A Songwriter’s Serenade summer concert featuring an evening blend of acoustic singer/songwriter talent Friday, August 2nd from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. performing aboard the elegant Victorian-era 1898 steam ferryboat Berkeley. The audience will enjoy an evening of Pop, Folk, Alternative and Americana music genre performances featuring longtime Maritime Museum of San Diego leader, curator, muse and master songwriter Mark Montijo, professional and songwriting power duo Stucky Leigh and international performing songwriter, maker of movies and music Gregory Page.

This event will open with a presentation from Frank about how PostSecret began and feature stories behind some of the secrets on display in the Museum. After the presentation, guests will head to the PostSecret exhibition for a special after-hours meet-and-greet with Frank.
