The San Diego Watercolor Society proudly presents “Growth in Motion”, juried by award-winning artist, Stan Goudey. The water-based media exhibition runs April 27-May 31, 2025 at our Gallery in The ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station. The free Opening Reception is Friday, May 2, 5-8 pm with over 95 ready-to-hang original paintings plus refreshments and the fellowship of other art enthusiasts. May is National Preservation Month, and Coronado is joining communities nationwide in celebrating our unique heritage! We're fortunate to have so many meaningful historic places, and we'll be highlighting them throughout the month. Our celebrations include a City Council Proclamation, the presentation of plaques to recently designated historic homes, and the beloved Historic Home Tour on Mother's Day, May 11th.

The celebrations will culminate in the annual Preservation Symposium on Thursday, May 15 from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. The program will include a reception starting at 5:30 pm followed by the presentations from 6:00-7:30 pm. 

Located on Mingei’s free Entry Level, Tuck and Roll showcases over 80 armadillo figures from Mingei’s permanent collection! Featuring works made by artisans across the Americas, this playful installation emphasizes the joy of making things by hand and how these extraordinary creatures have delighted people’s imagination.
