Dine with the master chefs and enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine in the cha kaiseki style.
Cha kaiseki cuisine is the practice of serving multi-dish meals during a tea ceremony. The method incorporates the use of seasonal ingredients and flavors to serve the guests.
Kyoto food culture heavily involves Kyoto style dashi broth, a soup stock made from kombu and dried bonito flakes. Guests will learn about dashi broth culture, kaiseki cuisine and the relationship to Kyoto culture, and crafts used to entertain guests.
During the week-long event, guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese culture through dining and hands-on craft workshops led by skillful artisans. Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from Japanese artisans and learn about their craft and history.
