Back in 1965 civil unrest and non-violent strikes were at an all time high across the United States and especially here in California. Grape workers, led by United Farm Workers, decided to strike by boycotting in the vineyards in Kern County. These agricultural agents showed their “must” and might in their cause by influencing over 14 million Americans to stop buying grapes and wine. By 1969, after working and fighting tirelessly for labor rights, these workers were promised fair wages and treatment. Until this day, agricultural laborers work vigorously to meet all our wine needs!
