Water Sports - Where to Go
Most water sports are centered around San Diego’s three bays - Oceanside Harbor, Mission Bay and San Diego Harbor. Our small lakes and reservoirs are better suited to bass boats. Experienced kite-surfers congregate around Tourmaline Street in Pacific Beach, Wakeboarders, waterskiers and wave runners like the east end of Mission Bay, and windsurfers seem to like the west end. Kayaks are found throughout San Diego, but the most popular tour leaves from the south end of La Jolla Shores beach to explore the sea caves around La Jolla Cove.
