"Take me out to the ballgame" has a whole different meaning in San Diego. Petco Park, named "Best Ballpark" in America by USA Today, is unlike any other fan experience. Located in downtown's vibrant East Village, the ballpark is surrounded by exciting things to do. Inside, you'll find fan food like you've never seen it before, with San Diegans' favorite eateries and world-renowned craft beer throughout. Sometimes it really is all fun and games.
Baseball Hall of Famer Trevor Hoffman was a dominant closing pitcher for the San Diego Padres from 1993 to 2008. In his career, he tallied 601 saves (a MLB record at the time of his retirement) and 1,133 strikeouts. He would enter the field in the bottom of the 9th to “Hells Bells”. Rumor has it batters still get nightmares from that song. He was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.
Trevor is a proud San Diegan and an aficionado of the area’s thriving culinary scene.
Matt is a big fan of the San Diego Padres, to the say the least. His all-time favorite Padres memory is watching one of his baseball idols, Trevor Hoffman, record his 500th career save. Matt has become an expert on the entire fan experience at Petco Park and is full of knowledge to help others get the most out of their day at the ballpark. From pregame bars to secret places to watch the game to best between-inning bites, Matt is somewhat of a bleacher all-star.
