April

  • From April through October, Humphreys Concerts by the Bay presents a spectrum of musical and special performances, including rock, jazz, comedy, blues and folk, while guests relax in a 1,400-seat outdoor theatre under the setting sun on picturesque Shelter Island.
  • Springfest - Experiments in Music is an annual festival wholly curated by and highlighting new work from the UC San Diego Department of Music - one of the premier center on the West Coast for experimental and new music.
  • The San Diego Botanic Garden ArtFest is a delightful combination of a Fine Art Show, Quick Draw Contest, Art Demonstrations, and Asian Art Show.
  • Coronado Flower Show is the nation's largest flower show under a tent and takes place in Spreckels Park, with flower exhibits, live entertainment and trophy presentations.
  • Oceanside Days of Art is a juried fine art festival featuring over 100 local artists selling a variety of unique artwork including paintings, sculptures, stained glass, ceramics, fine jewelry, photography and more.
  • Art Alive, the San Diego Museum of Art's signature fundraiser and annual floral exhibition brings the Museum's Permanent Collection to life in a uniquely beautiful way featuring 100+ floral interpretations and a gorgeous central display.
  • The Spring Garden Festival at Cuyamaca College is a community celebration of spring and a greener future featuring fun programs, exhibitors and demonstrations.
  • The Adams Avenue Unplugged festival features vintage blues, folk, Appalachian, country, bluegrass and Celtic music performed by roots artists on seven outdoor stages set in Adams Park in University Heights. The free event also includes beer gardens, ethnic cuisine and hundreds of vendor and craft booths.
  • Mission Federal ArtWalk, the largest fine art festival in Southern California, is a 17-block celebration in the lively neighborhood of Little Italy in San Diego.

  • El Cajon's Dinner & a Concert offer music from every genre so that there is something for everyone each concert season from May through September.
  • Knee-slapping good times abound during the Gator By The Bay-Zydeco, Blues & Crawfish Festival, held at Spanish Landing on Harbor Island. The event features 25+ bands on five stages along with dance lessons, food and Cajun cooking demonstrations.

  • The Festival of the Arts in North Park & Craft Beer Block has grown into a local tradition that includes amazing local art, exciting live music and dance performances, eco-friendly activities, vendor booths, fabulous food and San Diego's best craft beer.
  • The San Diego Surf Film Festival champions the independent filmmaker and their quest to capture and convey the very special feeling of being a surfer. And with this in mind, we continue to present the finest independent surf films from around the globe.
  • Sounding off on May and continuing through September, Coronado Promenade Summer Concert Series is a beloved local tradition that takes place every Sunday at 6:00 PM in Spreckels Park. Performances include Coronado's Lamb's Players Theatre and popular bands like the Coronado Community Concert Band, Navy Band Southwest Show Band, Marine Band and Coronado Big Band.
