The Alpine (Up and) Downhill Challenge is the bike ride you've been waiting for...all the way up, up to Alpine Brewing and back down, down, down to Panama 66!
This is the bike ride you've been waiting for...
We will leave Panama 66 at 8:00 AM on our bikes, and ride all the way up, up, up to Alpine Brewing. There we will have one pint, check out the facility, and then ride back down, down, down. Approx 60 miles round trip. Last year's route: https://connect.garmin.com/course/5133501 (this year starts and finishes at Panama 66 in Balboa Park)
At the end of the ride, back at P66, you will enjoy a guided tasting of Alpine's beers alongside Alpine Brewmaster and Owner Pat McIlhenny.
A buffet of P66 sandwiches and snacks, plus Commemorative schwag is included!
This ride is not about speed. It's about community. (And beer.) So we will ride together, making sure not to leave brothers and sisters behind. It is a challenge uphill, as well as downhill. A decent bike is kind of necessary. No clunkers. No townies. No cruisers.
