The board of Rancho Bernardo’s Spirit of the Fourth has decided to proceed with all our usual July 4th events for 2022.
We will have the Community Fair in Webb Park starting at 9:00 am which includes a Patriotic Pet Contest, Quilt Show, Auto Show and Veterans Memorial Ceremony. The Fair will also have booths from many local organizations and vendors. The parade will begin at 3:30 pm on Acena Drive and proceed north to Rancho Bernardo Road and then Bernardo Center Drive. At 6:00 pm, the gates open to a fireworks display and evening entertainment at the Rancho Bernardo High School complex at 13010 Paseo Lucido, San Diego, CA 92128. There will be a live band and food trucks, with the fireworks starting at 9:00 pm.
Monetary donations at the gates will be appreciated and necessary to offset the expenses of conducting the fireworks show, security, insurance, and rental of the site from the Poway Unified School District.
When the parking lots reach capacity, viewers will be required to park on adjacent city streets. No access to the campus proper or the athletic fields will be permitted. No alcohol is permitted anywhere on campus. Attendees must adhere to the full California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidance for COVID-19 in effect on July 4, 2022.
