The MCRD Bootcamp Challenge features obstacles used only by Marine Recruits plus over 60 USMC Drill Instructors providing direction and encouragement.
Wake up to the Challenge!
On October 14, 2017, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego will host the 16th BootCamp Challenge, a 3-mile obstacle run. This unique race features obstacles used only by Marine Recruits, plus over 60 USMC Drill Instructors "staff" the course providing direction and encouragement for participants.
The race will begin at 0900 in 5-minute waves starting with the elite division, then individual men, individual women, 2-person teams, 3-person teams, then 5-person teams. Day of race registration and t-shirt pick-up opens at 0630. After the race, join us for our post-race music and award ceremony with plenty of music, food, fun and beer beginning around 11:00am. Official race t-shirts to all entrants.

Awards will be offered to the first three finishers in each category.
3-mile obstacle course on paved roads and hard-packed dirt - flat and fast. Over 50 obstacles to complete, including tunnel crawls, trenches, cargo netting and push-up stations. Drill Instructors at each station to make sure you complete your obstacles!
