The MCRD Bootcamp Challenge features obstacles used only by Marine Recruits plus USMC Drill Instructors providing direction and encouragement.
Wake up to the Challenge!
On May 5, 2020, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego will host the 18th BootCamp Challenge, a 3-mile obstacle course on paved roads and hard-packed dirt - flat and fast. BootCamp Challenge offers civilians the unique change to experience a taste of Marine Corps boot camp. BootCamp Challenge is a high-energy, endorphin-filled adrenaline rush with over 50 obstacles including tunnel crawls, log hurdles, 6ft vertical climbing wall, cargo net crawls, and push-up stations all manned by Marine Corps Drill Instructors who are there to encourage and motivate participants through the obstacles.
Schedule
The race will begin at 0900 in 5-minute waves starting with the elite division, then individual men, individual women, 2-person teams, 3-person teams, then 5-person teams. Day of race registration and t-shirt pick-up opens at 0630. After the race, join us for our post-race music and award ceremony with plenty of music, food, fun and beer beginning around 11:00am. Official race t-shirts to all entrants.
