At SkyFire Arts, we believe that Ecological Awareness & Renewable Energy are the keys to a beautiful future for all humankind. To promote this perspective & the practices associated with it, we create presentations & performances around the globe; we have been to four continents & both coasts of the US. In most of these shows, our performers wear high-voltage protective suits to dance with real electricity. Giant Tesla coils are used to produce 10 foot long arcs that are 1 million volts strong and 5000 degrees Fahrenheit, over half
as hot as the surface of the sun.
Beyond offering the thrilling nature of this spectacular technology, SkyFire Arts makes a powerful experience truly transformative by incorporating dramatic storytelling.
SkyFire Arts Tech Overview
All Packages Require:
Audio & Lighting: Appropriate to audience size and venue
Power: Sufficient for audio & lighting on stage + lighting in green room
Crew: Minimum 1 AV Technician- at shows & rehearsals (if any)
Dressing Room: Minimum 10’ x 10’ w/ tables & chairs; Must be within 500 feet of a
private or multi-stall bathroom (2M & 3M Tesla only- 1-3 high power fans)
LED & Fire Packages:
Stage: Minimum 8’ W x 4’ D x 2’ H
Set up / Strike: Minimum 1 hour / 30 min
Perimeter for LED: 4’ between performer and audience, outdoors or 8’ ceiling clearance
Perimeter for Fire: 15’ between performer & audience, outdoors or 10’ ceiling clearance
2M Tesla Packages:
Stage: Minimum 20' W x 16' D x 2’ H (for Twin 2M Tesla: 32’ W x 20’ D)
Set up / Strike: 8 hours / 4 hours; Material Lift or Forklift required
Perimeter: Raised stage and/or crowd barrier (retractable belt or stanchion + rope) to
maintain 14ft between our Tesla coil and audience; outdoors or 22’ ceiling clearance
Power: Single phase, 208-240V, 30A grounded electrical service (60A service for Twin
2M Tesla); building power or commercial generators w/o GFCI
3M Tesla Packages:
Stage: Minimum 24' W x 20' D x 2’ H (For Twin 3M Tesla: 36’W x 24’D)
Set up / Strike: 8 hours / 6 hours; Material Lift or Forklift required
Perimeter: Raised stage and/or crowd barrier (retractable belt or stanchion + rope) to
maintain 20ft between our Tesla coil and audience (outdoors or 29’ ceiling clearance)
Power: Single phase, 208-240V, 100A grounded electrical service (200A service for
Twin 3M Tesla); building power or commercial generators w/o GFCI
Fire & Tesla Packages:
Fuel Station: outdoor or vast indoor space; private area minimum 10x20; floor plan or
site visit to determine
Permitting: For all public events, we provide a safety info packet with the event permit
application & attend any Fire Marshal walk-throughs
