Optional Paths, an Art Exhibition

The San Diego Watercolor Society proudly presents “Optional Paths”, juried by award-winning artist, Linda Doll.  The water-based media exhibition runs Mar 31 – Apr 27, 2024, at our Gallery in The ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station. The Opening Reception is Friday, Apr 5, 5-8pm with over 95 ready-to-hang original paintings plus refreshments and the fellowship of other art enthusiasts. The Gallery is open Weds-Sun, 11am – 3pm.  The paintings can also be viewed and purchased online.  Please visit www.sdws.org for more information.

J2B2 is an all-star bluegrass supergroup featuring four legendary, award-winning musicians – John Jorgenson on acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals; Herb Pedersen on banjo, acoustic guitar and vocals; Mark Fain on bass; and Patrick Sauber on acoustic guitar and vocals – delivering bluegrass like no one has ever heard it before. The band’s undeniable live shows have received stellar reviews and have the bluegrass world buzzing. The four combine forces to form a spot-on union of impeccable musicianship, incomparable songwriting, incredible harmony vocals (a fresh twist combining bluegrass with elements of West Coast folk rock) and seasoned showmanship. This is the “high lonesome sound” of American roots music at its finest.

XR Games Masterclass Day 2 – Cyber-cities

Is your dream job to make video games and bring your stories and ideas to life in virtual reality? If so, come check out UC San Diego Park & Market’s XR Games Masterclass series, including two days of game creation skill building. The Qualcomm Institute at UC San Diego, in partnership with Resilience Studios, Epic Games, Lenovo, and Meta, has put together two unique opportunities to learn the building blocks for developing an XR game for the Meta Quest 3 and Snapdragon Spaces Lenovo headsets.

Students from UC San Diego’’s course, Serious Games for Climate Change, will also be showcasing the games they have made using UE5 to inspire your gameplay.
